As an Independent, I will not appear on either of the March primary ballots. Beginning March 4, I will be collecting the signatures of 500 Hays County registered voters who did not vote in the Democratic or Republican March 3 primaries to ensure my position on the November ballot. Your signature does not obligate you to vote a particular way in November, it simply means you want my name to appear on the ballot.

The reason that Hays County voters who voted in the Republican primary or will vote in the Republican primary runoff are eligible to sign this specific petition is because the Hays County Republican Party did not nominate a candidate for Hays County Criminal District Attorney. The Hays County Democratic Party had two candidates on their primary ballot for Hays County Criminal District Attorney.
